New Report: Couch Surfing Limbo
Young couch surfers are falling through the gaps. Many young people are forced to crash on a friend's couch in order to avoid violence at home, and as a result, couch surfing is the dominant way that young people experience homelessness. Yet it is largely a hidden problem.
'Couch Surfing Limbo' explores the challenges faced by young couch surfers: exploitation, abuse, and the complexities of navigating a predominantly adult system. The report also provides insight into the issues faced by couch providers - the informal carers that look after young couch surfers in their homes.
