Victorian Power Saving Bonus

Victoria has introduced a second round of $250 Power Saving Bonuses. 

The Victorain Government has introdcued a second round of the $250 Power Saving Bonus for all Victorian househoulds. You can apply until 31 August 2023, at this Victorian Government Energy Compare website. 

To receive the payment:

• You must be a residential energy consumer (that is, have an electricity account at your house)
• You must be the account holder (that is, the bills must be in your name)

Only one payment is available per household. 

To apply, you will need to have the following infomration: 

• Account number of your bank (so the money can be transferred when you are approved)
• Copy of a recent electricity bill 
• You may be asked to provide addition evidence such as a concession card or another utility bill such as a water or gas account.

When you apply, the Government will provide you with information about the best priced electricity offers in your area, but you do not have to switch to receive the payment.
